How do I get the best performance in paint matching?
For best results, it is recommended to measure a selection of areas on your walls. Your existing paint may have faded, or become dirty, differently in different areas. Taking an average reading will provide best results.
How do I change paint brands?
In the top right corner of the "Match to Paints" feature there is a icon of a paint fan deck. Click that and it will allow you to change the paint brand you are matching to without having to measure or scan your sample again.
Any other tips for achieving the best accuracy?
1.) Make sure your Nix Mini 3 is firmly touching the surface to be measured. 2.) Make sure your device is clean and free of smudges. 3.) If a surface is highly textured, like fabric, the Nix Mini 3 will return darker than expected results.
